Did you think it was Dio? Wrong, it was me—Anime as a Cup of Tea!
Thank you Annie from evening tea musings for the tag; Annie writes about Korean drama, movies, Kpop (which I myself only stuck at Big Bang and Blackpink), poetry and many more topics that are quite intriguing. So, feel free to check Annie out! And… without further ado, let’s get into this tag.
- The Purpose of this tag is very simple! Describe yourself through anime! To do this you will answer all of the questions below!
- After this is done you will tag 6 people to pass the tag onto! If you’re tagged for a second time you only have to tag 3 in your next post and 1 on your third attempt and should you so choose beyond. Tell us why you nominated these people!
- People who ask to be tagged should be added to your tag list with a link to their blog!
- Tell something nice about them as well.
- Remember to have fun with the tag and be proud of who you are, you are an amazing person and the fact that so many anime and anime characters share traits with you shows you are pretty breathtaking!
Describe a hobby or passion you have through an anime series! For example Shokugeki no Soma if you like cooking or Initial D if you like cars.
I know what you’re thinking.
I do not have a hobby of deleting things. But, I enjoy creating things that would eventually piece up together, maybe like anime music videos that follows either music/story, blog posts that follows certain topics, and stories with appropriate foreshadowing and worldbuilding. Most of the times, when creating, I would type/edit/write on keyboards, so… that’s why.
As for anime that has creation as its theme, the ones I can think of are Bakuman, Shirobako, Eizouken, Re:Creators, and The Ascendance of a Bookworm, which are all quite entertaining.
Simplify yourself to an Anime Archetype (Tsundere, Dojiko, Shota, Shounen-Protagonist etc) don’t overthink what an archetype is, go with your gut. Name a character that is also that Archetype.
Kyoya Hibari from Katekyo Hitman Reborn!; after analyzing 20 anime archetypes of “dere”, I’d go with him as a kuudere. I don’t normally show any change in emotions or voluntarily share things about me in a chat. I’ll be blunt if I think I need to, for your sake, whether you’ll appreciate it or not. Actually, now I’ve only realised why they mash up “cool” and “boring” to describe me at first.
Describe your looks through comparing it with anime characters, you can decide how many!
Shiroe from Log Horizon.
Glasses. About the same height, same built. Emotionless at times. Brain over brawn. Yeah, he’s the closest.
Describe your romantic bias and or sexuality through anime characters you find attractive.
From left to right, up to down: Yona from Yona of The Dawn, Shirayuki from Snow White with the Red Hair, Shizuku Mizutani from My Little Monster and Violet Evergarden.
They are strong, and indepedent characters yet with a fragile side to them, and they wouldn’t give up until they reach their goal, either it’s to learn, discover or to grow. And frankly, seeing that, I’d just like to protect and stay by her/their side along the journey she/they made.
Also, girls with short hairs are cute.
Tell us about your day to day life and what anime that would fit into! You can be creative here!
Ok, maybe Grand Blue is a little bit too extreme. So, think of anime that touches on university/college life like Run with the Wind, Golden Time, Honey and Clover. It’s somewhere along the line of going to lecture halls, hanging out at breaks, creating our own discussion group at library, going for movies, outing, planning road trips for the end of semester.
I also jog on the weekends at a park nearby, if I have energy left from the weekdays.
Other times I’m either catching up with anime, or smashing keyboards.
Describe your hopes and dreams through an anime character.
Yoshino Koharu from Sakura Quest. She’s a city girl from Tokyo who was offered to revitalize a dying small town located in countryside. And after various struggles, challenges, help from the locals, learning and applying the customs and traditions there, she managed to do it. Left an impact, made some new quicky friends, and made the town a little happier, and becoming quite happy herself in the end.
And afterwards… she moves on to a new town, ready to embrace different customs there and interact with a new set of town folks.
You, you, and you.
This tag is a bit personal than any tag that I’ve ever done before, and I can see why some would hesitate into writing and sharing the answers to these questions; so, no pressure. If you’re feeling playful and want to do something new, refreshing, and fun for a change, feel free to participate in this tag. I’m serious; don’t hold back.
I nominate you.
Thanks for reading!
