Summer, O summer, how I loathe you. You and your ever so brilliant heat, you and your tiny shiny beam of light. Sun, cicadas, moon, beaches, watermelons, festivals, yukata, fireworks. Poetry, poetry, poetry. I have no idea how to continue, so let’s get into the review schedule.

Watched:

Just … a big warm smile.

Fruits Basket: The Finale: A satisfying, heartwarming conclusion to the 12 zodiac members and the girl who inspired, and loved them all. Also, happily ever after in the purest sense. Truly an amazing journey.

Combatants Will Be Dispatched!: It’s … amusing.

The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: It’s oddly refreshing.

Zombieland Saga: Revenge: Criminally underrated. Revenge has never felt this satisfying, fulfilling, and deserving.

Moriarty the Patriot: An unorthodox take on evil and justice: making evil prevails to bring justice. This gives Code-Geass-ideal vibe if Lelouch was in the era of Great Britain.

Those Snow White Notes: Shamisen. A musical instrument of 3 strings, playing out a story of friendship, frustrations, team competitions and self-discovery.

The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent: Isekai with an overpowered female MC, but she doesn’t realise it, and her power activates with one special ingredient—which is too cringy to say it here.

Watching:

Intensely, with much hope in store for them.

To Your Eternity: Honestly, I’m only up to episode 2. Episode 1 wasn’t as emotional as I thought; it’s just a bit disheartening.

My Hero Academia 5th Season: I enjoy the class A vs class B matches; even though it’s a bit dragging, but it does introduce some new insights (and skills) to existing side characters. Let’s go on to the next arc, and the movie!

Plan to Watch:

HUH? Who says I can’t watch them all?

86: I’ve totally disregarded this anime from the last season, but based on its premises and characters, I think it’s worth a watch and might be on my next review list.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! 2nd Season: After avoiding all her supposed doom flags, and grabbing the plot with reverse harem, just how will the story continues?

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom: Generic isekai in every season, but with a twist of strategy and military?

The Detective is Already Dead: A detective story that presents you the eventual demise of the detective, and begin this story from the ending. The prologue to the epilogue.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2: The adventure of the demon lord in guise of slime continues. This time, alongside a god-tier dragon in the form of a human.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S: The second season, and the first anime series since the unfortunate arson of Kyoto Studio. Hope it’ll be as wholesome and heart-harming as it was.

I’m standing on 1,000,000 lives. 2nd Season: Not gonna lie, the animation and art of first season was below average; I’m not hoping for improvement in this season, only that the plot gets more interesting.

Airing Dates:

Don’t worry, I’ll wait beside you.

July 3: My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! 2nd Season

July 4: How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom

July 4: The Detective is Already Dead

July 6: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2 Part 2

July 8: Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S

July 10: I’m standing on 1,000,000 lives. 2nd Season

That’s it?

That’s it. Every time when I look back into my last seasonal schedule, I notice there will bound to be more anime that I’ve watched than I plan to. Well… if it gives a good story or hides inspiring messages behind it, I get to share them with you all. If it’s not, that in it is a lesson itself. Win-win.

With that being said, I’ll see you guys on my next Fruits Basket: The Final‘s review. Thanks for reading! Also, if you have any last-season-anime to rant about, go for it here!
